The 2025 Urban Ag Futures Training is a collaborative program offered by Abundant Life Farm, Let’s Grow Akron & The Summit County Ohio State University Extension designed to help youth understand urban agriculture and establish their role in the local food system. This opportunity is made possible by a bill sponsored by State Senator Paula Hicks-Hudson.

12 individuals have been selected for this in-depth training and will receive a learning stipend on completion of the program. Additionally, students will be able to apply for a paid summer internship. The course will feature a combination of hands-on classroom learning paired with field trips to see what we are learning in action.
